With these I can emulate the controller software using Weld-pro/Roboguide to the point that I can program everything offline. I normally develop HMI's for use with Fanuc PMC's controlling arc-mate robots. RSlinx emulator doesn't appear to be capable of emulating all of the PLC hardware I need it too and switching from emulated hardware to physical hardware and back is either cumbersome or pretty much impossible without resulting in a large number of errors. I'm playing with RSlinx Emulator to try and create a more convenient and sound proof method for testing HMI's before we build a physical system or have the plc hardware on site.
